Letter from the President: As President of the Commonwealth Association of Financial Professionals ("CAFP"), I am pleased to welcome you to a new and exciting year. For over 20 years, CAFP has been providing financial professionals of Central Virginia the opportunity to network and learn through a variety of presentations and speakers. The 2009-2010 year will guarantee the same quality of speakers and the ability to earn Certified Treasury Professional credits as we continue our theme of education. CAFP is working on several timely topics, including economic updates and interest rate forecasts, foreign exchange, electronic bill payment, funds transfer systems and potential risks and an update on International ACH transactions. As a member of CAFP, you are provided the opportunity to attend the monthly luncheon and presentation, starting in September 2009 and ending in May 2010. Each presentation will qualify for one CTP or CPE credit. In addition, CAFP will provide an opportunity to attend a Spring Training session, in April 2010, which provides at least 3 additional credits. Also, please check out our website, at www.commonwealthafp.org, which provides the meeting schedules, speakers, membership information and potential local employment opportunities. The CAFP is a great way to expand your knowledge and network with your peers, while earning CTP or CPE credits at a reasonable cost. To join or renew your membership, please complete the membership application and return to CAFP along with your membership fee. Should you have any questions or comments, please contact Lydia Cota, CTP, CAFP Vice President of Membership, at (804) 697-7129 or me at (804) 662-2222. Sincerely, Robert W. McNutt, CTP President, CAFP
